SFTP AD Sync - CSV Available Columns

This is a technical 'how-to' article for technical team members to setup the staff sharing via SFTP AD sync

The following columns are available to be included in the CSV File for SFTP AD CSV Sync 

first_name|last_name|position|mobile_number|email|status|location

You must include all columns in that order, leaving blanks in the ones you won't include. Note that the name and last name are mandatory, and if you don't include contact details, your staff members will not receive notifications.

Breakdown per column:

  1. first_name: This field is for the first name of the individual.

  2. last_name: This field is for the last name or surname of the individual.

  3. position: This field denotes the job title or role of the individual within the organisation. It specifies the nature of their employment, such as 'Manager', 'Technician', 'Administrator', etc.

  4. mobile_number: This field is used to record the mobile phone number of the individual. Used for system notifications.

  5. email: This field is for the individual's email address. Used for system notifications.

  6. status: This field represents the current status of the individual in terms of their employment or role. This could include statuses like 'Active' (1) or 'Inactive' (0). Must be numeric and 0 or 1.

  7. location: This field is used to specify the location associated with the individual. Below is a brief explanation of how it works.

Regarding the CSV Column Positions, users have the option to include a "location" column. This column specifies the destination for importing staff members. If this column is not included in the CSV, the staff members will be imported to the current location by default.

The format for specifying the location is as follows:

  1. The location must be numeric.

  2. If multiple locations are required, they should be separated by a hyphen ("-") without any spaces in between.

  3. An example of specifying a single location is: 156.

  4. An example of specifying multiple locations is: 156-180-214.
